1931 Ford Roadster
SOLD SOLD SOLD
This is a 1931 Ford Roadster powered by a blown small block Chevy. This is a very fun little car you can hop right into and drive around town and will get you plenty of attention.
This car has an early 1970's 350ci Chevy engine with a B&M 144 street supercharger on top. It has the desirable camel hump heads and sprint style headers. It is fed by an Edelbrock carb and sparked by an HEI ignition. The fuel comes from an 8-gallon steel tank with a new Holley electric fuel pump, and also a new pressure regulator and fuel lines. It just got a new battery with a cutoff switch and a new alternator. It has a turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission with a Lokar shifter. The rear is an 8 inch Ford with an open differential and 3.08 gears. Front disc brakes and rear drums bring this car to a stop. They are connected to a dual master cylinder, and is also equipped with an e-brake.
The suspension on this car is all custom. The body sits on a custom "A style" frame. It has a MAS front droptube with spindles from the 1949-1954 era. It has the traditional sytle steering with a Dodge steering box. It has Curtis hairpins, tube shocks, and traditional forged steering arms. The rear has a ladderbar setup with coil-over suspension.
The car has a steel body but has had a little work done. It has orange paint with flames. It also has a hood and a blower hat that can be easily put on and taken off depending on your mood. The paint has a few cracks around the trunk lid and rear quarters, and also a couple of other small nicks here and there that have been touched up. The doors dont line up perfectly, but that is how Ford built them back in the day. The chrome on the car is all from when the car was built (probably back in the 70's) so it isnt in perfect condition, but it isn't rusty. The grill is an original deuce grill that has been filled. It has Ford S6 headlights and the traditional blue-dot tail lights. The wheels are 15" Centerlines. The front tires are 26x7.50-15 and the rears are 33x19.50-15 Mickey Thompson Sportsmans.
The interior has a new white tuck-n-roll vinyl bench seat and black carpet. It has a tilt wheel and also has the OE windshield and posts that have been chopped. It has an instrument panel full of 2nd generation Stewart Warner gauges. It has a speedometer with and odometer, a tach, oil pressure gauge, fuel gauge, water temperature gauge, voltage gauge, boost gauge, and a clock.
This car is really great to drive. It cranks right up without any problems and doesnt smoke or sputter. It accelerates quickly, as expected with this kind of power to weight ratio. It drives straight and isn't too hard to steer. The brakes stop the car easily and smoothly. This is a really fun car to drive around town. It turns heads everywhere. This is a great car for someone who wants a roadster and doesn't want to spend a fortune to build something or get it running. This is a car that you can just jump in and drive.
