This 1978 Targa is a nice, solid driver quality example of the Porsche 911sc. The deep metallic grey paint is has been resprayed once and is in good, driver quality condition, with only minor blemishes or chips here and there. There are no major dings or dents and no rust on this California car. The exterior trim is in equally good shape and has minimal cracks or fading. The headlights, tail lights and signal and fog lights all work. Nearly new tires on period correct chrome Fuchs rims compliment the car and give it a nice stance. Open the solid feeling door and you will be greeted by a tidy interior. The black leather bucket seats are in good shape for their age with no rips or tears. The door panels are nice and clean with no cracks or missing pieces. All power window switches operate as expected and the windows roll up and down smoothly. The dash and steering wheel are in good condition as well with no cracks or fading of the dash pad. The gauges are nice an neat with the large center tachometer framed by the classic 3 spoke wheel. All gauges and dash lights function as they should. The Blaupunkt stereo works and comes in nice and clear. Shift the front seats forward and you will see the rear of the car is in just as nice condition as the front. The back seats fold down to form a nice storage shelf. The targa top latches on and off and fits snugly. It is easily detached and folded away neatly under the front bonnet on sunny days. It is overall in good condition with a few minor imperfections on the edges. It seals out the weather just fine.

Depress the smooth feeling clutch, turn the key and the 3.0L air cooled flat 6 with Bosch electronic fuel injection comes to life immediately. It does not smoke, leak or make any strange noises. Shifting the 5 speed manual transmission feels nice with solid engagement and no odd noises. The brakes bring this light car to a halt with authority, the pedal feels nice and firm and they do not squeak or pull to one side or the other. The car tracks nice and straight running down the road. We have service records dating back to when the car was nearly new! Please call or email with any questions, we would be more than happy to tell you all about it!
