1968 Chevrolet Camaro 327ci Convertible

This is a nice example of a matching numbers 1968 Chevrolet Camaro convertible. It has a 327ci V8 and an automatic transmission which have both been recently rebuilt. It has been restored and is in good condition.

The engine in this car is the original, numbers matching 327ci V8 with 210 horsepower. Please contact us for a complete decoding of the car. The motor and transmission were completely rebuilt less than 1000 miles ago and we have the receipts to go along with it. The odomoeter reads 87K miles. A Rochester Dual-Jet 2-barrel carb sits on top of the engine. The transmission is the original 2-speed Powerglide automatic. It accelerates and shifts smoothly. It has the original rear end with a 3.08 gear. The suspension is a multi-leaf setup. It has the factory drum brakes and master cylinder. The 15x6 rally wheels are wrapped in 235/60/15 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires that are in good condition. The engine cranks up on the first turn of the key. It runs good and has plenty of power. The transmission shifts smoothly and the brakes stop the car easily.

The exterior of this car has been professionally repainted in the original Grotto Blue. The paint is nice and glossy. There are a couple of small nicks around the car that have been professionally touched up. It has a white vinyl convertible top with plastic rear window. It is power and goes up and down smoothly. It shows a small amount of staining, but still looks good and has very little wear. It has a white vinyl boot cover to go with it as well.

Overall the body is straight and very solid. This car has never been rusted out and isn't full of bondo. The underside is in good shape and is very solid. The floor pans have been professionally replaced. The trunk floor is very solid and has a new liner. The grill is in good shape with no cracks or missing pieces. The body panels all line up nicely and the doors, trunk and hood all open and close properly. The chrome on the car has all been replaced and shows very little wear. The lights are all in good condition and all work properly. The glass on the car is all original, so it has a few scratches, but overall is in good shape. Overall, the outside of this car is in nice condition and doesn't show much wear.

The interior of the car appears to be the original parchment white vinyl. There are no rips or tears in the bucket seats, but they do have a couple of small stains. The dash is in good condition with no cracks and is still shiny black. The gauges all work properly and aren't scratched up. All of the knobs are present and work correctly. The steering wheel is the original wood grain style wheel that is in very good condition. The woodgrain center console is also in good condition. The original radio and heater control knobs are still present. The light patina on the seat belts shows that they are the originals. The door panels are both in good shape and have all the trim that belongs there. The window crank handles are all present and in good shape. All 4 windows go up and down smoothly. The carpet in the car has been replaced and looks nice. It also has the matching Camaro floor mats. The inside of this car seems to be mostly original but still in good shape.

This car is a nice numbers matching restoration that can also be driven. The inside looks nice and the outside looks even better. It runs and drives well and stops good. This car would be great for someone who is looking for a nice numbers matching Camaro to add to or begin a collection.
